What we collect, and what we don't.

Who we are

Jarviz Studio, an architectural visualisation studio working from Jaipur & Chandigarh, India. If you want anything on this page explained, changed or deleted, write to [email protected] and a person will answer.

When you visit the site

We count visits so we know which work people actually look at. We do it ourselves rather than handing it to an advertising company, and we collect the least that still answers the question.

Each page view records:

• the page you opened, and its title
• the site you arrived from — the name of it only, such as google.com, never the full address you came from
• your country, as our host reports it
• whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer
• how long the page was open
• how quickly the page loaded, so we can tell whether the site is slow for real people

To tell one visitor from two, we make a short code out of your IP address and browser, scrambled together with a secret that changes at midnight every night. It cannot be turned back into either. Because the secret changes daily, the code that stands for you today cannot be matched to the one that stood for you yesterday — so we can count how many people visited, and we cannot follow anyone over time.

What we never store

• Your IP address or browser identity — both go into that daily code and are then discarded, never written down
• The full address of the page you came from
• Anything you typed into another site
• Any profile of you, on this site or across others

We do not run advertising, we do not use tracking pixels, and we have never sold or shared this data. There is nobody to sell it to: it lives in our own database and no outside company has a copy.

Cookies

We do not set any. That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner — there is nothing to ask you to consent to.

The one thing the site stores in your browser is a random session number, which exists only so that three pages read in a row count as one visit rather than three. It is deleted the moment you close the tab, and it never leaves your device except as that number.

When you send an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name, email, company, what you need and a description of the project. All of it is emailed to us, and a copy is kept in our own records so that an enquiry cannot be lost in an inbox and so we can see whether it was answered.

We use it to reply to you and to do the work if it goes ahead. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.

Who else is involved

Three companies necessarily see something:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the data described above. Like any host, it handles the request your browser makes.
• Resend delivers the enquiry email to us, so an enquiry passes through it on the way.
• YouTube hosts the films on some project pages. We use their privacy-enhanced player, which does not set advertising cookies unless you press play — but the player still loads from Google when you scroll to it, and Google will see your IP address at that point, whether or not you watch. That is a genuine limitation of embedding video and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries — until we delete them, because we may need to remember a conversation that turned into a project. Ask and yours goes immediately.
• Visit records — trimmed after about a year. We never look further back than that, so there is no reason to keep them.
• The daily visitor code — meaningless within 24 hours, by design.

Asking us for something

Write to [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No form and no process — it is a small studio and you will get a reply from someone who can actually do it.

For visit records there is usually nothing to find, because we hold nothing that identifies you. For an enquiry, tell us the email address you used.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date below moves. We will not quietly start collecting more and leave this reading the same.
